the permanent staff. COURSE AT NARROW NECK. The annual refresher course for officers and N.C.O.'s of the Permanent Staff of the Northern Command will commence at Narrow Neck to-morrow. The course will extend over a fortnight. All forms of instruction in infantry training and rifle drill will ho carried out, in addition to new methods of training and orders. The course is usually held about the present time in order that all ranks may be thoroughly acquainted with every form of instruction before the commencement of the annual territorial camps. The Narrow Neck camp will be iri charge of Major D. B. Blair, R. 5.0., N.Z.S.C., while Captain J. G. C. Wales will be adjutant. Must of tha officers and N.C.O.'s of the artillery units are at present engaged in a refresher course at Trentham.
