DACRE'S ENGLISH OFFER. APPROVAL *OF TRANSFER. DOMINION COUNCIL'S SANCTION. [BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT. J CHRISTCHURCH, Monday No objection has been raised by the New Zealand Cricket Council to the transfer to Gloucestershire of C. C. Dacre, of Auckland, who has accepted an offer to play for that county. At its meeting this evening the following cablegram, dated November 22, was received from the Gloucestershire Cricket Club, Bristol:—"Kindly cable consent IJacre qualifying for Gloucestershire and inform L)acro." The secretary, Mr. J. F. Peake, reported having sent the following reply:— "if IJacre applies, the council agrees." He had sent a letter to Dacre, reading as follows:—"Any application you may make to the council will receive the favourable consideration of the Management Committee."
