SUPPLY OF POWER.
THE AUCKLAND BOARD. NEW ONEHUNGA BULLHING. The Auckland Electric-Power Board mot yesterday, Mr. VV. J. Iloldsworth presiding. A tender for £3616 from William Curtis for the erection of a two-storey brick building for the board in Quoen Street. Onehunga, was accepted. There were 19 lenders ranging in price from £3548 to £5059. The lowest tender of £3548 was declared void because the tenderer had enclosed a cheque for £3O instead of lor £SO The work on the building will he started immediately. In addition to olfice accommodation provision will bo made for a large showroom. There will also ho two shops. The report of the chief engineer stated t hat during the week ended November 21 service gangs connected one underground and 79 overhead services, and erected 14 poles and 8000 yds. of cable. On the Pen rose-King's Wharf cable link two lengths were completed during the week in Gladstone Road and Cleveland Road. It was anticipated the cable would be run into the station before Christmas.
