SUDDEN DEATH.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Thursday.

The foreman electrical fitter of the Tauranga Electric Power Board, Robert L. Smith, dropped dead in the street outside his home in Sixth Avenue shortly before six o'clock this evening. Doceased had not complained of being unwell, and was at work as usual to-day. Mr. Smith formerly lived in Tasmania, and for some time was on the staff of the Talisman Mine at Karangahake. Subsequently he was foreman electrician to the Napier Borough Council. He had been with tho Tauranga Electric Power Board since its establishment. He is survived by a widow and two daughters.
