WAIKATO SUMMER SHOW.
FORTHCOMING FIXTURE. RECORD ENTRIES ANTICIPATED. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Sunday. The Waikato Agricultural and Pastoral Association's Summer Show, has, since its inception, set an improved standard each year, and this year's exhibition, which will take place en November 16 and 17. should be i>o exception to the rule, as record entries are anticipated. The Wai kato district is renowned for the quality of its stock, and some of the best animals in the province should be paraded on show day at Claudelands. The cattle classes are filling well, while pigs will again be stongly represented. Sheep of ail breeds have been entered, and there should be good competition in these classes, while the horse sction has, as usual, proved itself a very popular one. The hunting classes should appeal, and the Waikato Hunt Club Cup should be well contested for by hunters. The jump ing events are expected to be most in teresting. Entries closed yesterday. There is a richly endowed prize list, with numerous valuable trophies. Somp of the leading stock in the Dominion will be exhibited. Draught horses are » special feature, and breeders' cJaßses in the various sections are well represented The home industries section leaves ample scope for farmers' wives and others, and always creates keen competition, while every consideration is given the children in the various show classes. The facilities and appointments are much more up-to-date this year than formerly.
