HOUSE INTEREST UNPAID.

MARRIED COUPLE BANKRUPT. Unable to pay interest on a mortgage on a house, Charles Stanley *Morley, metal-worker, and his wife, Beatrice Violet Morley, filed as bankrupts. At a meeting yesterday no creditors were present. The schedule showed £3O 4s 6d owing to unsecured creditors. The assets comprised furniture, £2O, leaving a deficiency of £lO 4s 6d.

In a statement C. S. Morley said he paid £SO deposit on a house, for which he agreed to give £BOO, the balance being on mortgage. Owing to illnes., he was behind with his interest and had to file. The official assignee, Mr. Q. N. Morris, said there was nothing to be done. He had no ground for opposing the discharge, but the creditors couid do so if they wished.
