BOXING.
BROADFOOT AND HAY* Jim Broadfoot, the Auckland middleweight. will meet the New Zealand welterweight champion, Artie. Hay. of Hastings, next Monday evening in the Town Hall. The decision will be given on a 15-rounds' contest for a purse of £IOO and sxpenses. The encounter should provide a clever exnosition. as both men are fast and have been training hard. Preliminary bouts have been arranged between Fraei and Perver, Maher and Andrews. Manson and McLoughlin and Tempie and Rounds. The feather-weights. Mason and McLoutrhlin. should provide a most interesting display. Manson won the medal for the mpst scientific feather-weight, cadet division, in the recent military tournament, and McLoutrhlin was ndindpred the nest territorial feather-weisht. Maher and Andrews boxed cleanly at the same tournament in tho shadow-weiprhts. Maher gaining the decision by a narrow margin.
