NEW CRICKET SEASON.

THE OPENING MATCHES. PROGRAMME FOR TO-MORROW. PERSONNEL OF THE TEAMS. The 1927-23 cricket season in Auckland will be officially opened to-morrow afternoon, when senior, senior B and junior grade matches will bo played under the auspices of the Auckland Cricket Association.

In tho senior grade Ponsonby will play United Suburbs, a new team in this grade, at Eden Park No 3 ground. Considerable interest will bo added to this match by reason of the fact that J. Langridge, the English coach, will be appearing in Auckland for the first time. Ho will play for Ponsonby. On No. 2 ground at Eden Park Y.M.C.A. will play University. E. H. Bowley, the Auckland coach, who arrived yesterday morning with Langridge. will again play for Y.M.C.A. Grafton and Parnell will meet at the King's College ground and Eden, last year's champions, will oppose North Shore, u.t North Shore. Following are the teams:— PONSONBY. Senior A Grade.—N. C.
