TO-DAY'S WEATHER. HERALD'S SPECIAL FORECAST. The, following weather forecast for 24 hours from 7 a.m. to-day was supplied to us by Mr. H. M. Vincent last evening:— Fine, bright weather conditions are indicated over most of the Dominion, with cold nights. Variable and moderate breezes, southerly to south-easterly winds, moderate to strong, prevailing. Seas smooth to moderate. The high barometric pressure system is now established over New Zealand, and improved conditions have resulted. Very high pressure is expected over the North Island. The Government meteorologist reported last evening as follows: —Present indications are for strong southerly winds, with cold, changeable weather and passing showers in the east coast district south from East Cape, but winds decreasing and conditions improving soon elsewhere, and weather cloudy to fair with a moderate southerly wind.
