RETAIL CONFECTIONERS.

A meeting of the Auckland Retail Confectioners' Association was held yesterday at the Chamber of Commerce, the presi dent, Mr. J. Sayegh, presiding. The executive reported that since the first meeting, held in July, tliG committee had been in touch with Wellington repre sentative confectioners regarding the interests of confectioners as affected by the legislation before Parliament. •The meeting expressed appreciation ot the moral and financial support accorded the association by the wholesale and manufacturing confectioners. It was decided to leave to the discrimination of individual retailers any change of policy resulting from the increased tariff on imported confectionery.
