Maior C. Dunham was a passenger from Svdnev bv the Marama yesterday. He is on a business visit to the Dominion. Mr. A. Assel, of Wellington, Mr. G. J. Wallace, of Timaru, and Dr. G. b. Dr F Lamb, sen of Mr. and Mrs. AS.j. * Lamb, of Pencarrow Avenue, Mount Eden, has obtained the degree of F.R.C.S., Edinburgh. Mr. and Mrs. A. Grieve of Melbourne, Mr. and Mrs. James Burke- of Sydnev, and Mr. and Mys. E. IL Wilson, of Wellington, are at the Central Hotel. Mr. Albert Spencer, president of the Auckland Employers' Association, left for Wellington by train 1 ast to attend a. meeting of the New Zealand Employers' Federation.
Mr S. 8. Jenkins, who has charge of Dodge motor-car interests m New Zealand and Australia, was a passenger from Sydney by the Marama yesterday. He is at the Grand Hotel.
The Rev. A. B. Todd, of Wellington, has been nominated by the Ashburton Presbytery as Moderator of the General Assembly for 1028, according to a Press Association message.
Mr. C. Eugene Smith, of and formerly of Auckland, arrived by ® Marama yesterday on a short visit to the Dominion. He is at the Grand Hotel.
Mr A. F. Ellis, New Zealand commissioner on the British Phosphate Commission, was a passenger, by the Marama from Sydney yesterday. He hasi been on a business visit to Melbourne, the headquarters of the commission.
