RAETIHI MAIL SERVICE.

COMPLAINT OF DELAY. [by telegraph.—own correspondent.] RAETIHI, Friday. Delay caused by the alterations in connection with the delivery of mails was the subject of complaint at a meeting of the ilaetihi Chamber of Commerce. The chairman, Mr. A. W. Ashwell, said hitherto the motor service between Raetihi and Ohakuoe Junction had carried all the mail, whereas lately it had carried letters only. This caused a great delay m delivery of newspapers and postal packets, especially to country residents, who received their mail three days late owing to the wail not arriving in time to catch ihe country service. A iter a great deaf of discussion it was decided to write to the Chief Postmaster asking that all mail be carried as formerly by the motor service from Ohakune Junction to Raetihi, and to call attention to the great inconvenience caused by the existing arrangement.
