CIRCLING THE GLOBE.

AMERICANS ALTER PLANS. PACIFIC FLIGHT ABANDONED. (Received September 15. 5.5 p.m.! A and N.Z. TOKIO, Sept. 14. The American airmen, Messrs, William Brock and Edward Schlee, who were attempting to fly round the world, have arrived at Tokio in their monoplane, Pride of Detroit. The airmen have decided to return to the Pacific Coast of the United States by steamer. This change in their plans is due to pressure from friends, who have urged them not to attempt the ocean flight. It is partly due also to the failure of supplies to arrive at the Pacific Islands where they proposed to land en route to America.
