An elderly married man, Mr. Charles Murray, was killed while returning to Waikartmoana in a motor-truck from a funeral at Wairoa yesterday.

The truck somersaulted several times down a bank, Mr. Murray"# cheat wu crushed, and he was killed instantly. Other occupants of the track fortunately escaped with minor cuts and bruises.

The truck, which was loaded with metal, was turned completely over, and stopped with the wheels in the air. The cab was completely wrecked, but the driver escaped injury.
