RAISING OF £IOO,OOO LOAN.
A decision to raise £ICO,OOO, by v.ay of special loan, for the waterfront roadway, was made by the Auckland City Council last evening. The currency of tb* loan a. 35 years from October I, 1927, at 5j per cent, interest, and the loan will be ss«wd at £33 10s. Th« security wiJ] be a epeciai rate of ?-&d an the pound on the annual rat able valu-e of the city. The junking fond to he provided 38 I > per cent. Tha formal resolution was passed vr:ihoat comment.
