SCHOOLS AT THAMES.
MEETING OF COMMITTEE. [BS XEIXGE.APH. OWN CORSLESPOXDENT. 3 THAMES, Thursdas The Thames Schools Committee met last evening, the chairman, Mr. J. Hodge. presiding. The headmaster of the Thames South school reported a roll of 380. w:th an average attendance of 546 The headmaster of the Thames North school reported a roll of 64, with an average attendance of 75 per cent. A qiatter of interest to parents was introduced by a request from the Auckland Primary School Committees* Association which, aster an investigation concerning high prices for school stationery, urged support of a resolution requesting the department to give immediate consideration to the,question of supplying school requisites at cost price or free of charge. The board's architect, Mr. £. Miller, notified that he would be raiting Thames shortly in connect.on with the sewerage connections to the local schools, and also to ascertain the necea&sary building reuix ftzr+fsz* «&•
