"A DANGEROUS MAN."
EXPERT WITH EXPLOSIVES. TERM OF IMPRISONMENT. "He is a dangerous man to be about the town, as he is exceptionally capable in the use of explosives, but does not always use them for legitimate purposes," said Chief-Detective Cummings in the Police Court yesterday, when George Mack, aged 52, pleaded guilty to being idle and disorderly in that he habitually consorted with reputed thieves.
The chief detective said accased had been in the city for about five weeks and he had not clone any work. He had received a number of warnings and the charge was long overdue. He had been sentenced to one month's imprisonment on a similar charge in 1922. Accused said he had been out of work for four weeks.
The magistrate. Mr. Hunt: Well, you have got work for three months now. You are sentenced to three months' imprisonment.
