HIKURANGI FIRE BOARD.
PROPOSAL CARRIED AT POLL. (BY TELEGRAPH- OWS CORRESPONDENT. ] WHANG ABEI. Thursday A poll held to-day at Hikurangi on a proposal to establish a fire board resulted in the proposal being earned by 44 votes to 16. There was one inform*! vote Only 'ahorit one-fifth of the ratepayers recoirfed their votes, as the roll contains over 300 names.
