PROGRESS AT TAURANGA.

[BY TELEGRAPH. —OWN CORRESPONDENT.] TAURANGA, Wednesday. At? the annual meeting of the Tauranga Co-operative Dairy Association the question of herd-testing received attention and, as a result, the finalising arrangements are now in progress for the establishment of four herd-testing groups in the Tauranga district. It is anticipated that the cost of testing will be 5s 3d a cow, toward which the Tauranga factory will subsidise to the extent of 2s. It is expected the Government subsidy will be Is a cow. Calf-marking will also be carried out in connection with tho testing work.
