TENNIS.
THE RAWHITI CLUB. The annual meeting of the Rawhiti Lawn Tennis Club was held in the committee room of the Renuiera Public Library last evening, the president. Mr. R. W. Woods, presiding. The attendance was fair, considering the weather. The annual report showed that the year had been a successful one and that the membership had been well maintained. A credit balance of £l9 19s 2d on the year's working was shown. The following officers were elected:— President. Mr. R. W. Woods: honorary secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. H. Barker: committee. Miss Eaves. Miss Dickin, Messrs. Purdy. Culleri and Kalman: auditor, the Rev. H. A. Coleman. Luring the meeting Mr. Kalman, a member of the club, offered a silver cup for competition among club members, the incoming committee to arrange conditions. The trophy was accepted with thanks. THE HINUERA CLUB. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT.] MATAMATA, Wednesday. The annual meeting of the Hinuera Tennis Club was held last evening, Mr. H. Settle presiding. Officer* tfe e elected as follows:—Patron, Mr. F. F. Hockly, M.P.; president, Mr. W J oate3 vice-presidents, Mrs. C. S. Green, Messrs C. Pond, H. Hopkins, G. Ring; auditor Mr, W. Settle; committee, Mesdames Hancock, Menzies, Settle, Messrs. H. Settle W H. Oates, H. Conder. F. Germann, A. Forsman, C. Brown; captain, Mr. Harold Conder; vicecaptain, Mr. Brown. The committee reelected Mr. H. Settle as chairman, Mr. W. A. Oatee secretary, and Mr. F. Germann treasurer. There are 89 members in the club, and all are financial.
