THE FARMER'S MOTOR-CAR.
Sir,—The slave-owners' outlook on life recurs from time to time without always being recognised as sueb. Much of the opposition to farmers owning cars would be better applied to the city dwellers who buy cars without the fanner's justification. Some of it, however, seems to be based only on the desire to prevent a man whose nose is on the grindstone from realising that there is something in life outside work. Even from the point of view of pure economics surely most farmers should own a car, Townie.
