OWN CORRESPONDENT.] NGARUAWAHIA, Sunday. , At its meeting last week the Ngarua wahia Borough Council discussed the question of running the picture enter tainments on the expiry of the present lease of the hall. Opinion for and against the proposal was fairly evenly divided. Eventually it was resolved to sell the picture rights by tender when the hall is again free. t • The local Masonic lodge held its annual ball on Thursday and the function was most successful, about 80 couples being present. The Borough Council, is giving the streets and roads a heavy dressing of .sand, which forms the most serviceable surface for the traffic carried.
