A SUPPOSED TIGER. THREE UNSUCCESSFUL SHOTS. The mysterious wild animal, which is said to have stripes like a tiger, and which is alleged to have killed dogs, sheep, a kangaroo, and a heifer, in the Springdale district, New South Wales, has been seen by a woodcutter on Kiley's "Darah" estate, 12 miles from Cootamundra, between Stockingbingal and Wallendbeen. The animal was reported to have been seen again on August 4 by a party which went out from Cootamundra headed by Mr. A. Cooley, in the hope of capturing it. Three members of the party came upon the animal in some ironbark scrub and had three shots at it, but it. got away. They describe>the animal as being 2ft. 6in. in height and 6ft. long.
