NEGOTIATIONS SUCCEED.
A SETTLEMENT REACHED. ..NO CHANGE IN, PERMITS.' HUNT CLUB HAS LABOUR DAY. [by telegraph, —special reporter.] WELLINGTON, Sunday. Negotiations between officials of the New Zealand Racing Conference and the Minister ol Internal Affairs, Hon. R. F. Bollard havo resulted in. a settltement of the dispute regarding the Waikato Hunt Club's permit to race on Labour Day next. ! An official announcement is delayed on account of the sudden illness of the Hon. R F. Bollard, but when it makes its appearance it will confirm the prediction made on Saturday that the Waikato Hunt Club will race as usual on Labour Day next, and that when the matter comes before the Racing Conference for review next soason the application of the Hunt Club for that date will receive first con sideration. The Waikato Racing Club* is to apply to the Dates Committee of the conference for fresh dates. So far as the Minister is concerned, it can have whatever dates it agrees upon with the committee. • ' As long as there is no repetition of the trouble now ended members of Parliament, it is anticipated, will be satisfied with the turn events have taken, and once the result is officially announced the end is likely to be heard of the matter in political circles.
