PRIESTS IN ITALY.
FASCIST COURT SENTENCES. POLITICAL EXILE IMPOSED. (Received August 17, 5.5 p.m.) Times. LONDON, Aug. 17. The Rome correspondent of the Times says that in spite of the strong protests of the paper Osservatore Romano, the organ of the Vatican, the Udine Provincial Commission has sentenced five priests who held high positions in the Diocese of Udine. It was alleged that the priests had carried on anti-rascist intrigues. The accused were sentenced to terms of political exile varying in length from one to four years.
