THE GREAT PYRAMID
Sir,—ln your issue of the 6th inst. J notice an article on the above written by Rev. P. S. SmallfielcL I am not acquainted with Mr. Smallfield, bat be certainly deserves some credit for his courage in putting his evidently very meagre knowledge of this amazing building against that of a man of Mr. Davidson's standing. It might interest Mr. Smallfield to hear that Mr. Davidson confesses to have been an out and out agnostic before he undertook his investigations, but he was so amazed at the wonderful message to the British race that the Pyramid contains that hs is now an ardent believer in the Bible, and especially the prophecy contained therein. The result of his investigations has been before the scientific world for the past two or three years and, so far, without refutation. Apart, however, from Mr. Davidson, there are many, scholars of repute, also cultured men and women, who are to-day firm believers in what is very aptly called the Bible-in-stone. R.R.
