LONDON ENGAGEMENTS.

New Zealanders will bo interested to hear of the engagement between Joseph Albert Nathan, eldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Maurice J. Nathan, of 34. de Vera Gardens, Kensington, and late of Wellington, and Grace Julia Abrahams, elder daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Marcus S. Abrahams, of 5. Arkwright Gardens, Hampstead. The engagement is. announced of the Hon. Brinsley Plunket, second son of the late Lord Plunket and of Lady Victoria Brait.hwaite, and Aileen, eldest daughter of the Hon. Ernest and Mrs. Guinness, and grand-daughter of Lord Iveagh. Hie Hon. Ernest Guinness is the second son or Lord Iveagh. The bride-elect is a niece of Viscount Elveden (nee Lady Gwendolen Onslow), whose husband is Lord Iveagh's heir. Lord Trevor, whose engagement is announced to Miss Phyllis T Sims second daughter of Mr and Mrs. T. A. Sims, of Kirton-in-Lindsey, Lincolnshire, will be well remembered in New Zealand, for he was assistant private secretary and A.D.C. to the Earl of Ranfurly during the latter's term of office as Governor. Lord Trevor is the third baron, having succeeded his father three years ago.. He was formerly a captain in the 3rd Battalion of the Royal Welsh Fusiliers, and toward the end of the war he served with the British Red Cross attached to the French Army. His seat is Brynkinalt, Denbigh, North Wales.
