POSTER DANCE.

The poster dance held on Monday evening proved the most successful and popular yet given by the Te Papapa Public Hall management The hall was beautifully decorated with flags, festoons of streamers in various colours and fairy lights. The floor was excellent. Shadow and spot lights were used, in special waltzes, which were greatly appreciated by young and old. In the grand march the poster dresses were much admired for their originality and attractiveness. Mr. H. Austin was in charge, and Mrs. W. Powell, of Royal Oak, presented the prizes. The costumes were well carried out. Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Lu Bouzaid, "Weldon's Fashions ; Miss M. Whitehead, "Oak Jams' f Mrs. J?. u. Babbington, "J.C.L. Star Attraction ; Misses Potter and Thomson, New Zealand Herald ; Master Cecil Austin, Seedless Raisins"; Miss P. Martin, Sunsweet Prunes"; Mr N Byce, ''Humour ; Messrs. Smith and Larking Bing Boys. Other costumes were as follows Miss u. Thompson, "Eat More Fruit_ ; Miss G. Whitehead. "Sylvia Starch ; Miss J. Putt, "Wai Wai Drinks ; Miss I. Heaney, "Snowdrift Flour ; Miss J. Patterson, "Bycroft's Biscuits ; Miss L.. Etord. Swan Ink", Miss L. Orman, "Star Twinkles"; Miss No Rubbin' Laundry Soap"; Miss M. Orman, "Women's Weekly ; Miss N. C ark, "Gold Flake Cigarettes ; Miss Wilson. "Three Castle?": Mia. D. "Black and White Whisky ; Miss Bouzaid, "Westward Ho Miss L A. Hickman, Ladies Journal , Miss M.
