FATALITY IN AMERICA.
STRUCK BY A PROPELLER.
PLANNED FLIGHT TO ROME.
By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received August 16, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z.-Sun. NEW YOi-Ov, Aug. 15. A tragic affair is reported from Youngstown, Ohio. Miss Gladys Roy, aged 25, had planned a flight from New York to Rome as a climax to her flying career.
The young woman, however, died in hospital this evening as a result of injuries received when she was struck by the whirling propeller of her plane at the Youngstown aerodrome.
