SHIPPING RETURNS.
PORT JACKSON'S YEAR. GROWTH IN ACTIVITY. (Received August 36, 5.5 p.m.) A. and N.Z SYDNEY. Aug. 16. The shipping returns for the year endeci June 30. 1927, show that 83/1 vessels, repr?senting 9,664,851 net tons, entered Port Jackson, compared with 7835, representing 9,279,734 tons, in the previous year.
A total ot 8358 vessels left the port, compared with 7889 last year. The respective tonnages were 9,722,818 and 9,290,365.
