REPORTS OF MANAGERS.
LUCKY SHOT DEVELOPMENT.
Lucky Shot.—A telegram received in Auckland vesterday from the manager stated the Lucky Shot dropper mentioned in last report had opened out to 15m. m width, showing rise on Hunt's Reef has been advanced Bft. for the week, making a total of 34ft from the battery level. Ihe reef has beesn a bit small for _ the last "few feet but still looks very promising for making gold. The drive on leader near Shotove- shaft has been driven sft. for the week, making a total df 36ft from the crossrut We have stopped this drive and started two men cleaning out crosscut past the shaft, so that we can start driving seaward on Oddfellows Keer. Alburnia —The western crosscut has been advanced from 231 ft to 296 ft ■' The country passed through is still of a hard c! - and much the iame in appearance as that reported last leek. We passed through a leader some 2m in width which showed a. splendid clans of mineral. There is a little more water oozing from the h aads than at any previous time Stoping o^er the intermediate level has heen in and the prospects here are better than for a few weeks past. The reef is now coming near to fts original size, it now being an average width of 3ft Nice colours and blotches of strong gold have been seen in some of the ore broken. The reef appears to be gradually coming to its natufal underlie and as it is encased in a good class of country rock and showing., more mineral seams than it has of late, we aie looking forward to good results. ■
