ACTIVITY IN BUILDING.

Considerable activity in building in the town of Te Kuiti has taken place this both the business and residential areas showing a steady increase. Ihe Railway Department lias erected seven fine new houses during the past fe w months. In the business area, brick and concrete shops are gradually taking the 'place of wooden buildings erected duiing the earlier years of the town. A large bakery is being erected in the main street. It will have a capacitj p 2000 loaves per day, and is to be a twostoreyed brick structure. When compte it will be one of the most up-to-date design in the Auckland Province, mcoi porating the latest improvements i both America and England. Another p ject of importance is the community 10 scheme, with a capital of £25.000.
