WANGANUI, Tuesday
For carnal knowledge and rape, Pineki Simon, a young native who appeared in the Supreme Court to-day before Mr. Justice Reed, was sentenced to seven years' imprisonment. The girl involved was accused's 11-year-old .cousin.
