PRESENTATION.

A large gathering of members of the Waihi Golf Club assembled at the Waihi golf links on Saturday to bid farewell to Mr. W. F. Jackson, who has been president of the club for the past 17 years, and who intends to reside in Auckland. On behalf of members Mr. W. H. Johnston, vice-president of the club, presented Mr. Jackson with a case of pipes, and referred to the excellent services rendered the club by Mr. Jackson, stating that he was one of the five original members responsible for its formation 21 years ago. A presentation of a tea-tray was made to Mrs. Jackson.
