ANNUAL CONVERSAZIONE.
THE SOCIETY OF ARTS. VERY SUCCESSFUL FUNCTION. Tho convermione Last- evening in con*section with tho annual exhibition of the Auckland Society of Arts was most enjoyable and successful. There was a largo attendance, and following "tlTo official opening by the president, Mr. Stewart Boyd, a pleasant time was spent in viewing the pictures. The fact that many of tho exhibits were tho work of women artists gave an added interest to tho largo number of women who attended. Among those present were Mrs. Stewart Boyd, who -wore black romame embroidered in silk with touches of royal blue and pink; Lady Lockhart, black and gold lace frock; Mrs. Swabey, bl«tck romaine with lettuce green shawl; Mrs. A. M Ferguson, black crepe de china and black aud white embossed shawl; Mrs. D. Tole, black marocain, and wtute embroidered shawl; Mrs. Spicer, black and silver embossed lams; Mrs. Hansen, - mirror blue velvet patterned m beige; Mrs. Colsoc, gold ani jade green embroidered t'rock; Mr;i% H. Mowbray, amethyst panne velvet. Mrs. Dovore, black crepe de chine relieved with iet; Mrs. Huie, shell pink georgette beaded in silver; Mrs., Y.
