ELEVEN SPIES TO DIE.
TRIAL IN THE UKRAINE. BESS ARABIAN FRONTIER WORK. (Received June 14, 7.53 p.m.) A. and N. Z. LONDON. June 13. A message from Odessa, ;n southern Ukraine, reports that 11 Rumanians were sentenced to death. They were alleged to have been engaged in espionage for the last three years on the Bessarabian frontier. Sixteen persons were tried. It was alleged that their activities had been on behalf of "Rumania. Of the remaining five accused three were «ach sentenced to bo imprisoned for 10 years and two were acquitted. The condemned men were also accused of illegally conveying persons to Rumania who were escaping fiom Russia.
