Samuel Vaiie and Sons, Ltd., yesterday. The building, which is built in concrete, has two storeys at the front and three at the back, and stands on a freehold allotment with a frontage of 45ft. to Kitchener Street and a depth of 82ft. In addition to the exhibition gallery there are a large hall and several committee rooms. Since its erection a large number of tenants have occupied the building. There was a large attendance at the auction rooms yesterday afternoon.. Bidding on the whole was keen. The first offer was £6OOO, but this price rose sharply by £SOO and £250 bids. Eventually the property was withdrawn from sale at' £8875. Private negotiations for sale are now proceeding.
