FINANCES SFfOW CREDIT. [BY TELEGRAPH. OWN CORRESPONDENT. J TUAKAU, Friday. The Tuakau Town" Board met last evening, the chairman, Mr. W. J. Taylor, presiding. The clerk, Mr. A. H. Tapper, submitted the balance-sheet for the past financial year. This showed receipts totalling £2017 lis 9d, and expenditure £1928 17s Bd, leaving a credit balance of £BB 14s Id. Advice was received that the Franklin County Council had granted £25 toward the cost of metalling the road to the Tuakau cemetery and was undertaking the workIt was decided to tar and sand the footpath from Pirret's Corner to the town hall, to lay a track of fine metal on the Harrisville Road footpath, and to Srovide a crossing at the end of Mill oad.

Mr. G. Arrowsmith was appointed to act as town clerk during the clerk's absence on a trip to England. Mr. G. S. Lapwood was granted two months' leave of absence to visit Australia.
