WHANGAREI, Friday,
Perfect conditions again prevailed for the second day of the "Whangarei County sheep dog trials at Kamo. There was close competition. Results were:— Long Head.—3l. A. MctLeod's (Waipu), Mick 47J points, 1; J. C. Arabury's (Ruawai). Rogue, 43J, 2; J. C. Blacklock's (Herekino). Don, 43i. 3: H. B. Sloane's ■Maunu), Jimmy, 32. 4. .Huntaway.—W. G. Cumming's ("Waimatetmi). Capstan, 434 points, X: W. G. Cummings, Tan, 42i, 2; J. M. Butler's (Opotiki), Ben Nevis, 40, 3; Morris" Silk, 4. At a conference of representatives of the North Auckland Sheep Dog Trials Clubs it was decided that the North Island (N.Z.) championships for 1928, should be held at Whangarei.
