VISIT OF FRANCONIA.
SHIP ARRIVES TO-MORROW. PROGRAMME FOR TOURISTS, The Cunard liner Franconia, with 400 tourists on board and under charter to Thomas Cook and Son, is due to arrive at Auckland at 5 a.m. to-morrow in the course of a world cruise. She will berth at Queen's Wharf at about 8 a.m., when passengers will disembark. All arrangements are now complete for the entertainment of the visitors, in New Zealand. In order to ensure accommodation for all at inland towns the party has been divided into five sections—four of SO oach and a main party of 200. All tho passengers will be taken sight-seeing round tho city arid suburbs to-morrow morning, and the four parties of 50 each will leave for Rotorua by special train at 1 p.m. After touring the thermal districts they will proceed to Wellington via tho Watiganui River and will join tho Franconia there. The main party of 200 will leave for Rotorua by special train at 8 a.m. on Sunday, arriving at the thermal resort at 1.35 p.m. Tho party will return to Auckland on Monday evening when they will join the Francofiia, which will sail for Wellington. The Franconia is duo at Wellington next Wednesday morning and will leave the same evening for Hobart, via Milford Sound. Tho vessel is on a six months' trip and returns to New York early in June.
