Mount Welcome.—During the pas;t veek work has been centred in No. 2 level. The short stope is now beaten out to the back of the old stoping above tho winze. The run of gold still holds good and at each breaking down at this point strong dabs show up. At Friday's breaking-down some nieces of vucrgv quartz carried bunches of loose gold similar to that obtained when putting through the rise for air 200 ft. away.
