RIFLE SHOOTING.
GOOD RESULTS AT THAMES. [BY TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] THAMES. Monday. Members of Thames Gun Club held their weekly shoot at the foreshore on Saturday. The -weather being ideal, good marksmanship resulted. There was the usual large attendance of spectators. Following are the results:— Six-Bird Sweepstake.—G. Thompson, F. Geratj;. W. R. Smith. A. McLean and S. Sparke, each shot the possible and divided the honours. Six Birds. Dr. Liggin's Trophy. Second Shoot-.—E. Thornton and A. Brien each gained the possible 18 points. The shootoS resulted:—E. Thornton, 1; A. Brien. 2; A. McLean, 3. Six-Bird Sweepstake.—&. Thompson 1; Dr. lagging, W. B. Smith and A. McLean, equal, 2. Seven-Bird Shoot, for Trophy.—A. McLean, 1: F. Geraty, 2: E. Thornton, A. Brien and G. Shaw, equal, 2. Six-Bird Sweepstake. Double Rises.—A. Brien, J. Crosbie and G. Thompson each shot the possible. The shoot-off resulted:— G. Thompson, 1; J. Crosbie. 2; A. Brien, 3. "Three trophies •will be shot for next Saturday.
