ELLERSLIE CLUB. The' Ellerslie Flying Club's lace from Christchurch, an airline distance* of 505 v miles, was held recently in good weather conditions. ResultsMx. J. Shiels' roc Black Splash (velocity, 1182 yds a minute), 1; Mr, Chapman's Gold Peak (1169 yds), 2; Mr. Wallace's Old Gold (746yda), 8, Also flew: Mr. Redman's entry (741 yds); Mr WilEOll's entry (7510 yds). The first two clocked in on day of toss. The club held a three bird, clock in two, race from Te Kuiti on Saturday. Results;— Mr. D. NORTH SHORE CLUB. The North Shore Pigeon Flying Club Hew a race recently from Palmerston North, an airline distance of 250 miles. Results:—Mr. F. Milham's y c c Toeland (velocity, 1072 yds per minute), 1; Mr. E. Andrews' b' c c Glenray (1071 yds), 2; Mr. Ml, Atkins' bee Sandy (1070 yds). 3. Also flew: Mr. H. Crowhurst's w c Whit© 194 (1069 yds); Mr. R. Fullerton's r c c Bully (1068 yds); Mr. J. Rawlings' r c c True Blood (1067 yds). The club flew a race on Saturday from Huntly, an airline distance of 54 miles. Results Mr. F. Potter's m o Silver Star and b_c c Gay's Surprise (velocity, 855 yds per minute), 1; Mr. F.
