FERGUSSON CAMP SITE. THE OPENING . CEREMONY. [BY TStKGBABH,—OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON. Sunday. The Fergusson camp site of sotne 13.J acres at Okete Falls, Raglan, was formally handed over to the Hamilton people at a picnic held on tho site yesterday, Dr. F. M. Spencer, president of tho Hamilton Y.M.C. A. and chairman of tho Hamilton Business Men's Committee, which has been respondblo for the purchase of tho site, handed the documents re. lating to the transaction to Mr. F: A.. Sneil, Deputy-Mayor of Hamilton,. who received them on behalf of tho borough and townspeople. The site was declared officially open 1 when Mrs. Spencer unfurled the flagAbout eighty Hamilton, residents wer<r present at the picnic and after luncheon; they divided into parties and visited the Okete Fs,lla and the bash fringing ther bay. A number cruised round the harbour.
