MOUNT EDEN BOROUGH.

MATERIAL FOR FOOTPATHS. The Mount Eden Borough Council met last evening, the Mayor, Mr. E. H. Potter, presiding. The council decided to give consideration to the question of using bitumen for footpaths acd instructed the engineer to report on the cost of material. It was decided to ask the Power Board to extend the - street lighting of the borough from midnight to 1 a.m. The work of excavating and levelling for the new tennis oourt at Nicholson Park was being pushed ahead.
