[RT TELEGRAPH. —OWN COF,RESPONDENT. J PUKEKOHE, Monday.

The death about ten o'clock this morning of Mr. John Craig, of Tobin Street, J J ukekohe, was the subject of an inquest opened to-day by the district coroner, Mr. C. K. Lowrie. Evidence was given that deceased, who was 57 years of age, had been a cripple for the past 12g years, and of late had suffered from severe nervous depression. He was found > dead at his residence shortly after ten o clock "this morning with a cord round his neck, deceased was married, and haci one child. A verdict of death by strangulation ivhilo deceased was in a fit of depression v >as returned.
