DANGER FROM ELECTRICITY. IMPROVEMENTS SUGGESTED. 1 , i The danger of fires originating in electrical systems in buildings was discussed by the executive of the New Zealand Fire Brigades' Association at its meeting at Auckland yesterday. The following resolution was carried:— "That, while fully appreciating the Government regulations, which it is understood are. being framed for the safety of life and property from the dangers of electricity, the. executive urges the danger likely to eventuate /from the present methods of placing fuse Jboxes inside buildings, and suggests that provision should be made for electric lights and power fuses to be placed outside all buildings." ' " ' " v ~ The executive further suggested that a regulation should be drafted . limiting to one the number of T electric light services permitted to be installed in any one building, and that th§ wiring behind switch boards should be encased within some fire-resisting material.
