PREMIUM BONUS SYSTEM.
PROTEST BY RAILWAYMEN. [BY TELEGRAPH.—PRESS ASSOCIATION. ] WANGANUI. Wednesday. A meeting of the local branch of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants protested to-night against the introduction of the premium bonus system among railway workers. It was contended that instead of giving extra reward for services rendered the system would involve the equivalent of a reduction in wages and that the risk of accident would be accentuated.
