It is understood the question of working on Saturday afternoons was discussed at the monthly stop-work meeting of the Lyttelton Waterside Workers' Union today, and that the men decided that they would resume working on Saturday afternoons provided the shipping companies conceded back pay as from November 1 of last year. It was stated that the companies were prepared to offer retrospective pay for the last six months.
