SERIES OF ACCIDENTS.

KNOCKED DOWN BY LORRY. MAN SEVERELY INJURED. Severe injuries were sustained by Mr. Olaf Trapp, aged 68 years, boatswain on the steamer Apanni, through being knocked down by a lorry on the Northern Steamship Company's wharf yesterday afternoon. Suffering from fractnres of the left arm and left leg and severe abrasions on the face, he was admitted to the Auckland Hospital. His condition is fairly comfortable. A fracture of the left leg was sustained yesterday afternoon by Sir. A. Caldwell, aged 26, of King Edward Avenue, Bayswater, as a result of being struck by a hardwood pole which was being stacked on King's Wharf. While working on the Great South Road at Papakuia yesterday, Mr. R. Kindale, aged 45, of View Road, Mount Eden, had his foot crashed as the result of a con-crete-mixer passing over it. Through his hand becoming caught in the cliain of the motor-cycle he was riding yesterday, Mr. Leonard* Charles Egginton, aged 38, of Buxton Street, Point Chevalier, had two fingers broken.
